Walking Ancient Otokuni
A plan, and a proposed walking map, for discovering the gate where the waters meet and the lost capital of Nagaoka-kyo beneath the bamboo groves, reading their mysteries from the land.

課題Issue
The region's appeal rests almost entirely on bamboo groves that spread only in early modern times, and the ancient Otokuni that explains why its landmarks stand where they do goes unseen.
視点Approach
Otokuni is read as a gate where three rivers join and pass through Yamazaki, a place so well served by water and land that it gave rise to Nagaoka-kyo, and walked as a mystery solved from the terrain.
